Lodging

We have reserved a block of rooms at the MyPlace Hotel . To book a room with a reduced rate of $126 + tax/night, please place your booking through this link. MyPlace is brand new and comfortable - but it’s only walkable to the restaurant next door so plan to drive or rely on Uber. We will be providing a shuttle to the Wedding Venue. Stay posted!

The Herrington is a Geneva classic. This beautiful historic hotel is right in the heart of Geneva’s quaint downtown and right on the Fox River. It’s one of Robb and Laura’s favorite places to get a drink when walking around town. We were unable to reserve a block of rooms, but highly recommend it. Rooms start at $350/night.

Another beautiful riverside option if you’re looking for a little extra charm is The Baker hotel in St. Charles. Those who know the Father of the Groom well may remember this was the very place where he got his professional start as a teenaged fry cook, a fact he will happily share if you are ever the lucky recipient of one of his famed “Euritos” (yes, for the uninitiated, that is indeed a tenuously European Burrito). Rooms start at $190/night.

Getting there

From Out of Town

O’Hare Airport (ORD) and Midway Airports (MDW) are the two options to fly into Geneva, IL.

O’Hare is roughly 50 minutes away from Geneva by car (Uber or Lyft should cost around $45 one way, unless surge pricing is in effect), and Midway is roughly an hour away and ride sharing prices are similar. [UPDATE: ride sharing has been more expensive and unreliable lately. As the date approaches, it may be worth comparing to airport shuttles or car rentals]

If you have time and patience, it is possible to get to Geneva via public transportation from the airport . Should you choose this option, first you should take the El (Chicago’s metro) to Ogilvie Station in Chicago, then follow the directions below.

From Chicago

By public transportation: the Metra (Chicago’s commuter rail) connects Geneva with downtown Chicago in about an hour. The Metra can be boarded at Ogilvie station, which can be easily reached via public transportation. Trains run roughly once every hour, and for $10 you can get an unlimited weekend pass. The wedding venue is less than 10 minutes walking from the station. The last train back to Chicago on the day of the wedding leaves at 10:37pm.

Click here for train schedules – you want to find the Union Pacific West line.

By car/ ride share it takes about an hour to get to Geneva from The Loop.
